History
OJSC "Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan" was established on the basis of former state Zhilsotsbank of Kirghiz SSR and registered in 1990 under the name JCB "Kyrgyzstan", since 2006 the Bank has its current name: OJSC "Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan", which operates on the basis of a license № 014 allowing it to perform banking transactions issued by the National Bank of Kyrgyz Republic.
The Bank also owns a license to conduct operations with precious metals, which is the only license in the territory of the country among commercial banks.
Today there are 82 divisions, ATMs and terminals in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, 12 money transfer systems with access to almost every country in the world.
OJSC "Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan" - is the leader among the participants of the national payment system "ELCART", which differs with low rates and availability of service, as well as takes up over 50% of the market in the field of servicing of traveler’s cheques. It is an associate member of the Visa International payment system, which enables it to service the international Visa cards with its own design and logo. It also service MasterCard along with the VISA system.
Important asset of the Bank is represented by a modern team of professionals who are intended to develop corporate governance principles and introduce new banking technologies, IT-developments, promptly and adequately respond to rapidly changing market conditions.
OJSC "Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan" has been highly appreciated by the experts of the international festival-competition "Choice of the Year", in which it has been triply recognized as Bank number 1 by the results of years 2003, 2004 and 2005.
To date, the Bank has a developed infrastructure and appears to be a multi-credit institution which provides credit and payment services for more than ten thousand companies, organizations and businesses located in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
